INTRODUCTION
Inspirations
The purpose of this collection was to create several versatile, innovative business wear garments that have reversible functions to extend the life of the garment and give the wearer several ways to style the garment through contrasting color palettes and unique patterns. We wanted to create a business-wear collection for women around the ages of 25-40 that could serve as both office-wear and could be easily converted into nightlife wear after hours. We chose to execute this through using a contrasting color palette as well as garments that featured removable components as well as revers-ability functions. The collection has two creators, a great friend of mine, Lesley Charland, along with myself. All contributions to the final product were split in a 50/50 format.
COLOR PALETTE
Reasoning for Color Choices
Creating contrast was a big intent of ours throughout the design process, and we wanted to keep a minimal palette to keep things cohesive. We went with two contrasting shades, coral and blue, and incorporated both tints and shades of the two colors, totaling different colors in the palette for the collection.

KALEDO STYLE
After inspirations were gathered and we had our goal in mind for the overall design, we then proceeded onto sketching out garments.
Garment #1: Reversible Romper w/ Removable Belt

An easy, simple, yet unique looking garment for the workplace. The garment would be a woven piece with fit mechanisms such as a zipper featured on the back of the garment. The garment would be reversible with a light color from our color palette on one side and a darker color or possibly a print on the other side. The removable belt is added in to help sinch the waist of the garment to showcase the human silhouette better. Our intention was to create a youthful, fun look for nightlife while also creating a garment that could fit within the business attire realm as well. The versatile reverse features help to transition from the workplace to nightlife as well.

Garment #2: Reversible Dress

Just like the garment above, let alone any garment in the Day & Night collection, the dress features a reversibility feature. The garment is meant to be a woven garment, and fit mechanisms added into the piece to allow this are the buttons at the front of the garment.
